Current Needs:
Program Volunteer -
Volunteers can support a variety of programs in the agency. This includes the prevention programming, shelter programs, and community programs. Volunteers may interact with cleints but will not be working directly with client services. Duties will vary depending on the prgram and can include (and are not limited to) program preparation, transportation, organizing shelter areas, making copies, interfacing with the public, attending events, oversight of childcare, organizing, filing, answering and opening doors, answering phones, opening and closing of security gates, cleaning/sanitizing toys, making copies, or answering hotline calls. Depending on the duties, training can coincide with volunteer opportunities.
Sexual Assault Advocate Volunteer -
A SAA advocate is available 24/7 to accompany individuals to the hospital in the event of a sexual assault. Their role is to advocate for the victim, assist them in understanding the process, provide resources and support through the processes. SAA advocates are also available to individuals who are seeking support and assistance outside of the hospital setting.
Training/Commitment Requirements:
- Commitment Requirement: 6 month commitment, Shifts vary and may require longer hours
- SAA Volunteer Training (125+ hrs)
